Lojban, going social!

I figured a great way to promote lojban is to get visibility from social
sites like Facebook and YouTube so please join if you're interested!

I created a lojban cause which allows lojbananas (or lojbanists) to show
their support for lojban and even donate to the cause. This is even better
than a direct donation because it's social. Other people can see it and
lojban gets more visibility.

I also created a YouTube group where we can all post videos. I think the
impact YouTube will have is potentially much greater than Facebook. Videos
are a great way to get people's attention, so i encourage all of you to post
some!

This Facebook group is a good place discuss anything lojban related. The
group is focused more on newbies and getting the word out about lojban

This page for lojban which appears like a Facebook profile and allows people

I wish that group had a less inflammatory title than "English is
stupid, I'm learning Lojban".

I can like Lojban without having to think that English is stupid,
can't it? That's like the irritating Esperanto advocates who say,
"Don't learn <language>, learn Esperanto instead!" — you can learn
Esperanto *and* Lojban *and* English *and* <language>, can't you?

Here's a group with the much more neutral name "lojban":

Perhaps you're right, but the title isn't meant to be taken so seriously
(did you see the fun little poem in the group description?). Perhaps "silly"
is how the word "stupid" is meant to be taken. I just meant to appeal to
people using lojban's most prominent feature: logic.

Quite a good idea, I also founded a lojban group in the german
equivalent of Facebook (studiVZ and meinVZ) to show the people there
exists something like lojban.
At the moment the group is just informational an links to lojban.org

In addition, there's the Lojban reddit!

Anybody else know good places for lojban to network?

I love Reddit, but there's a certain critical mass you need for it to
be useful. I do keep checking it pretty regularly, but lately it's
been dead. Hopefully we can get some discussion going there sometime.
If you post some comments or links I'll try to stop by sometime and
respond.

I think a great place for us to go would be Friendfeed. I have a
Friendfeed here where I collect all my Lojbanic activities:

http://friendfeed.com/selckiku

Friendfeed allows you to easily organize together all your activity
from various sites, including youtube, reddit, flickr, blogs, etc.
They include 57 sites so far. So if we followed each other on
friendfeed, we could each post to whatever sites we like, but also
remain aware of each other's activities. I think that would make it
easier to generate critical mass for conversations in various places.
