To check whether a string begins with a __cmavo__, first you have to check that it does not begin with a ((Morphology: cmene|cmene)) or with a __CVCy-lujvo__. A __CVCy-lujvo__ consists of a ((Morphology: rafsi|CVC-rafsi)), then a ((Morphology: vowels|y)), then any number of ((Morphology: rafsi|initial-rafsi)) (possibly none) and finally a ((Morphology: brivla|brivla-core)). If the string does not begin with a ((Morphology: cmene|cmene)) or with a __CVCy-lujvo__, then it begins with a __cmavo__ if it begins with a __cmavo-form__ and is followed by a ((Morphology: special characters|pause)) or by a ((Morphology: words|lojban-word)). A __cmavo-form__ consists of a non-((Morphology: consonants|h)), non-((Morphology: consonants|cluster)) ((Morphology: syllables|onset)), any number of ((Morphology: syllables|nucleus)) (possibly none), and a final ((Morphology: vowels|nucleus)) which is not ((Morphology: syllables|stressed)) or, if ((Morphology: syllables|stressed)), it is not followed by a ((Morphology: consonants|cluster)). A __cmavo-form__ can also consist of one or more ((Morphology: vowels|y))'s in a row, or of a ((Morphology: special characters|digit)).
