Lojban In General

Lojbanic 'folk' music.

As always, I continue to write a culture that doesn't exist.

I've started larlermorna (I need to actually do the full article for that. If anybody is a typesetter with free time, I really could use your help!), I've come up with numerous culturalisms, and as of late I've been thinking, "What would music sound like if jbogugde was real? How would their folk music from two or three hundred years ago sound? What would they play?" and I've come up with a library of instruments that I plan on actually making and documenting for the website.

Anyway, to my main point, I have written a condensed version of 'nurma zgike', which is a specific type of 'terfarvi zgike', of which I will write much more in the coming days/weeks/months. If the general opinion of most Lojbanoids is positive, then I'll continue to write more music as such. Once I develop a full sound and a full set of 'folk instruments' (any luthiers are more than welcome to contact me personally to help develop these instruments), I would fully welcome people to follow this style. Naturally there are many different parts of jbogugde, and so I encourage anybody else with musical capability to write other styles of what they consider to be Lojbanic folk or other pre-modern Lojbanic music, and maybe we can even piece together cute little stories about the history of lojbo zgike.

Here's the link for the song.
If people approve, I'll make it a full piece (5-10 minutes) and release the MIDI data for all to enjoy.
Save your comments on the quality, I'll actually mix the final product when I get to that! =P
