Lojban In General

I'm writing a parser

It needs a ton of work still. For example, dendrography, the
grammar-parsing-bit, doesn't like {oi broda}, and I haven't tested
thaumatology, the magic-word portion, sufficiently. Nor have I tested
the non-standard alphabets. And much more. However, I'd like to draw
attention of its existence outside of IRC.

My greatest concern right now is parsing valid lojban, not not parsing
invalid lojban. My motivation for writing this is that I'd like to
make a semantics engine. I believe Nick Nicholas (?) wrote something
like that using camxes, tho I haven't used it.

Woah, should I upgrade to Python 3? I tried running it in 2.6.4 and
got tons of errors for function calls like:

function(arg=value):

and after I regexed them all out, it stopped at a function call
claiming that '\n' was invalid syntax ... .i ju'ocu'i ki'a ma

Anyhow, it looks like nice clean code! Assuming it runs, what's the
biggest challenge right now?

Richard Curnow, the Creator of the current Lojban->English translator
(jbofi'e) recently sent Me the source and said I was welcome to
maintain it if I wanted to. It's currently in an uncompilable state
due to some error I haven't yet tracked down. However, I could upload
it to, say, github, if I You wanted to take a whack at it. It
currently parses Lojban just fine. The transfer came when I noticed
it incorrectly translated a particular sentence which escapes My
memory at the moment.

Python 3 is incompatible with python 2. I would recommend installing
python3.0 alongside the old one, it shouldn't cause any conflict. I
think doing so would be easier than converting it. (The python3.0
package is in the Ubuntu repos, if you're into that sorta thing.)

Which it does very nicely on my computer. :P

Finishing off the dendrography stuff. I also have a few more chores to
do. I won't have time to work on it for a few days tho.

Although I use jbofi'e to translate sentences embarrassingly often,
I'm not interested in making the translations better.
