subliminal learning lojban?

I found this just now: http://www.suburbandestiny.com/?p=588 in which the
blogger mentions "subliminal learning lojban" here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001I1OJYI/ref=sr_1_10_rd?ie=UTF8&child=B001I1HBVQ&qid=1259812895&sr=8-10.
What is this thing? Is this in any way associated with LLG or anything
official?

This is what is known as a "scam." If you click the "Brainwave Mind Voyages"
link, you'll see that the sellers appear to have grabbed a bunch of random
subjects and slapped them onto FSM only knows what, combined with utter abuse
of New Age-sounding scientific vocabulary to rope in their key demographic:
idiots. Buying this just to see what it is (and I will bet you 10,000 to 1
that it doesn't work) will not be worth your while.

Also, some advice for the next couple of decades: If it has the word "quantum"
in it and it is not a physics textbook or course from a respectable university,
keep it away from your money.

I was kind of wondering if that was the case.

Definitely snake oil - there are similar ad listings on eBay; I sent a
message to each seller asking for a contact number so I could call and
hear for myself just how good their Lojban was before I'd consider
placing an order. Funnily enough I received no reply :-)

Well the funny thing is, the link in my first message has samples of the
mp3s that you get and the one is just 10 minutes of waves at the ocean, the
second one "uses hypersonic tones" so..... blank nothing.

You probably can't tell the difference between any of these mp3s:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-music&field-keywords=Subliminal+Learn

but of course that's why they are *subliminal*. It would be
interesting to know their sales figures for each language.
