When formulating place structures for ((lujvo)), either through the ((dikyjvo)) rule-bound approach or not, the issue often arises on whether to include more or less places. __Lean lujvo__ advocates less places. That way, it is argued, the meaning of the lujvo stays broader rather than narrower, which is consistent with the overall approach to ((brivla)) in Lojban. Lean Lujvo were mooted by ((Nick Nicholas)) in his initial discussion on ((dikyjvo)), and found favour from ((Jorge Llambias)). Cf.
