A __glide__ is __i__ or __u__ when followed by a ((Morphology: syllables|nucleus)) and not followed by abother __glide__.

A __diphthong__ is one of __ai__,  __au__, __ei__, __oi__ not followed by a __glide__.

A __vowel__ is one of __a__, __e__, __i__, __o__, __u__ not followed by a ((Morphology: syllables|nucleus)).

__a__ is any number of ((Morphology: special characters|commas)) (possibly none) and the character 'a' or 'A'.

__e__ is any number of ((Morphology: special characters|commas)) (possibly none) and the character 'e' or 'E'.

__i__ is any number of ((Morphology: special characters|commas)) (possibly none) and the character 'i' or 'I'.

__o__ is any number of ((Morphology: special characters|commas)) (possibly none) and the character 'o' or 'O'.

__u__ is any number of ((Morphology: special characters|commas)) (possibly none) and the character 'u' or 'U'.

__y__ is any number of ((Morphology: special characters|commas)) (possibly none) and the character 'y' or 'Y'.
