A __final-syllable__ (of a ((Morphology: brivla|brivla))) is a __syllable__ without a stress mark, followed directly by ((Morphology: special characters|spaces)) or by a ((Morphology: words|lojban-word)) other than a ((Morphology: words|cmene)). A __stressed-syllable__, a __stressed-diphthong__ and a __stressed-vowel__ are, respectively, a __syllable__, a __diphthong__ and a __vowel__ with a stress mark on the vowel or followed (possibly after an intervening __y-syllable__) by one __syllable__ and then ((Morphology: special characters|spaces)). An __unstressed-syllable__, an __unstressed-diphthong__ and an __unstressed-vowel__ are, respectively, a __syllable__, a __diphthong__ and a __vowel__ that are not stressed as described above. The stress mark consists of a capital vowel (A, E, I, O, U). The relevant mark on a __diphthong__ is the capitalization of the first vowel, and on a __semi-consonant__ __vowel__ pair the relevant mark is the capitalization the __vowel__. The capitalization of the other member of the pair is ignored. A __syllable__ consists of an ((Morphology: consonants|onset)) followed by a __nucleus__ that does not contain __y__. A ((Morphology: special characters|digit)) can also stand for the __syllable__ that corresponds to its name. A __y-syllable__ consists of an ((Morphology: consonants|onset)) followed by a single __y__. A __nucleus__ consists of a __diphthong__, a __semi-consonant__ followed by a __vowel__ or __y__, a single __vowel__ or a single __y__, not followed by __y__, and then it can end in an apostrophe (__h__). A __semi-consonant__ is ''i'' or ''u'' when followed by a __vowel__. A __diphthong__ is one of ''ai'', ''au'', ''ei'', ''oi'' A __vowel__ is one of ''a'', ''e'', ''i'', ''o'', ''u'', where ''a'', ''e'', and ''o'' cannot be followed by __y__. __y__ cannot be followed directly by a vowel. The apostrophe, or __h__, must always be followed by a __vowel__ or __y__.
