Pre-Rev4 checklist:
- Rev4 will be the final revision. It should just be a tightening up of the aesthetics of the characters, nothing major, but if concerns are raised I'm more than willing to address them
- On completion of Rev4, the truetype font will be uploaded to here and anywhere else that cares to have it.
- About the font, there is obviously no fancy unicode stuff, it simply maps onto the appropriate letters. .y'y maps to both ' and 'h'. the pre-stop maps to period and the post-stop maps to greater than (ie: shift+period). Capital letters create the equivalent character but with a stress bar.
Rev4 updates:
- The name 'la srilermorna' has been chosen, with the meaning 'ribbonletter patterns'.
- Line breaking is optional. Rev3 is presented with the unmarked characters unbroken and the marked characters broken, this was really just to show the difference - in your own handwriting, both variants are acceptable whether marked or unmarked. I'm thinking of keeping the font as it is (marked=broken) but really, if you're typing it there's no inconvenience about marking, so they could probably be whole
- The rev4 writeup will include detailed guides on how to correctly write the characters, tips on flow, penmanship and handwriting, spacing, writing on lined refill etc, stroke orders and liberal examples of all, hopefully with photographs.
- Rev4 marks the end of the development, and so will be used to derive the non-cursive variant, designed to be more writable and more legible (ie: less decorative). The idea is that the non cursive script is a variant of the 'proper' cursive one.
