Lojval

Lojval is a little Python script written by LogicalDash. It lets you easily search through the Lojban vocabulary lists from the command line, and optionally add the result to your Pauker or CSV flashcard deck.

It has been tested on Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux 7.10, 8.04, and 8.10. It should in principle work on other platforms, with the requisite configuration tweaks to account for differently located vocabulary files.

By default, Lojval only searches the gismu. You can search through all the vocabulary by using the -a switch, or in specific vocabulary files using the -g(ismu), -r(afsi), -c(mavo) and -l(ujvo) switches.

To add the result to your flashcard deck, use the -f switch. However, this will only work if there is just one result.

To configure Lojval, open it in a text editor. The comments will assist you.

Lojval was made for Python 2.5.
